Itinerary

Day 1 DAY 1: We travel across country, through Devon and into Cornwall, making suitable refreshment stops along the way. We are greeted at our hotel with a cream tea.

Day 2 This morning we make our way to Truro, Cornwall’s cathedral city. Centre stage is the impressive gothic revival cathedral, and in its shadow a warren of back streets to explore. We depart and travel to Charlestown where we have an included fish and chip lunch. After some free time, we make our way back to the hotel.

Day 3 We depart after breakfast to visit the marvellous Eden Project, a fantastic development where huge biomes house the largest ever rainforest in captivity with stunning plants, exhibitions and extraordinary gardens.

Day 4 This morning we visit Polperro, a picture book conservation village with narrow, winding streets, and cottages perched on steep slopes overlooking a tiny harbour. We then transfer to Liskeard Station to board the Looe Valley Line for an 8½-mile journey back down to Looe, with beautiful views of the East Looe River and through picturesque valleys teeming with wildlife. The rest of the day is free in Looe, a town split in two and joined by a bridge, with narrow streets, quaint shops, cafés and harbour front to explore.

Day 5 Leaving our hotel after breakfast, we travel east with suitable refreshment stops, reaching the local area late afternoon.
