We depart on our Wightlink ferry from Portsmouth to Fishbourne and make our way to Newport, the county town on the island. With free time to explore the architecture of its Nash-designed Guildhall to the Minster church in St Thomas’s Square, visit the shops, enjoy lunch or just sit and watch the world go by! We travel to Godshill for the afternoon, a quintessential English village boasting some of the oldest architecture on the Isle of Wight. With its delightful medieval church, charming thatched-roofed cottages and a winding main-street lined with traditional tearooms.
