Hotel Rex
A very warm welcome awaits you at the Hotel Rex, which offers the comforts and luxuries of a modern hotel yet still retains its original character and splendour. This three-star hotel is situated on the Esplanade overlooking the stunning golden sands of Weymouth Beach and the Jurassic Coastline beyond. All bedrooms are en suite and have TV, telephone, hairdryer and hospitality tray. The hotel has a lift.
ITINERARY
Day 1 After your taxi pick up, we make our way west to Dorchester, where there will be free time to look around and have lunch before continuing our journey to Weymouth and our hotel.
Day 2 Free morning in Weymouth. This afternoon we have arranged a return steam train ride on the Swanage Railway from Norden to Swanage. Sit back and enjoy the experience of a unique journey through six miles of beautiful Dorset scenery.
Day 3 Today we visit the Great Dorset Steam Fair, held in the showground near Blandford Forum and in the heart of the beautiful Dorset countryside. There are around 200 working steam engines on show and 2000 other working exhibits, including a steam-driven funfair. Vintage, veteran and classic cars, lorries, military vehicles, tractors and motorcycles are represented alongside 500 trade stands, numerous food stalls and live music. You will be amazed at the variety of exhibitions and the sheer scale of the show.
Day 4 We leave our hotel after breakfast and stop in Bournemouth where there is free time to look around and have lunch before we arrive back to where your taxi will be waiting to take you home.
