ITINERARY
Day 1 After your taxi pick up, we make our way west and visit the beautifully laid out Mapperton Gardens in Beaminster, where there will be free time for lunch. We continue our journey to Torquay and our hotel.
Day 2 A full day excursion beginning with the Paignton & Dartmouth Railway. We travel on the steam railway from Paignton to Kingswear, then cross on the passenger ferry to Dartmouth where you can have free time to explore. In the afternoon we board our boat for a one-hour cruise to Totnes, where our coach will be waiting to return you to the hotel.
Day 3 Today we travel to Exeter, with free time to look around and maybe visit the Cathedral. This afternoon we make our way to Killerton to visit the house & gardens. The 18th Century house brings life to generations of one of Devon’s oldest families. The beautiful gardens are full of Rhododendrons and rare trees surrounded by rolling Devon countryside.
Day 4 A free day to enjoy the delights of Torquay.
Day 5 A visit to Bicton Park Botanical Gardens, with time to explore nearly 300 years of horticultural history. Visit the 18th Century Italian Garden, the 19th Century Palm House, and travel through the superbly landscaped parkland on Britain’s only 18-inch gauge passenger-carrying railway.
Day 6 We depart after breakfast and stop at Wilton Shopping Village with time for lunch and shopping. We then make our way to the taxis and home.
