ITINERARY
Day 1 Taxi and coach to Heathrow Airport for your lunchtime flight to Bergen via Stavanger. You will be met and transferred by a local coach to the Stalheim Hotel (approx 2 hours drive).
Day 2 Today will be a free day, a good opportunity to view the hotel’s open-air museum.
Day 3 A full day out, via Hardangerfjord to Vøringfoss Waterfall and on the return journey a stop in Ulvik.
Day 4 Today you will have the opportunity of an optional excursion, ‘Norway in a nutshell’ (approx £60). It includes a ride on the famous Flåm Railway which lasts about one hour. There will be some time in Flåm for lunch and then you will take a two hour ferry cruise through the narrow fjord. (This excursion is sometimes operated in reverse order).
Day 5 A day out to Sognefjord, Norway’s largest and longest fjord. A lunch stop will be taken in Sogndal. We return via Vik, where there will be the opportunity to see the Hopperstad Stave church, a richly decorated building probably built in 1140 (admission not included).
Day 6 We leave Stalheim after breakfast for the scenic journey to Bergen airport for the afternoon flight to Heathrow via Oslo. On arrival you will be met by the Woods coach and then a taxi to your home.
