A WARM WELCOME TO NEWCOMERS. As a special treat to anyone who has not travelled with Woods within the last two years, we are offering this tour to Ironbridge at an amazing reduced price. This is your chance to experience our excellent door to door service, the high quality of our chosen hotels, the variety of excursions offered and the comfort and security of being looked after by Woods from your initial booking to the taxi returning you to your door. We are sure that once you have been on this tour, we will see you travelling with Woods again and again! On this departure, we have also included a trip on the Severn Valley Steam Railway and, for this one week only, we have special access to the RAF Museum in Cosford, being able to view the Conservation and Restoration Centre, which is normally closed to the public.
ITINERARY
Day 1 After a taxi pick up from your home, we make our way via Tewkesbury to Stourport-Upon-Severn and our hotel. There will be a welcome drink before dinner so that you can get to know your fellow travellers.
Day 2 We travel to Ironbridge and begin with the Museum of the Gorge before viewing the bridge and the toll house. We then visit Blists Hill, a working Victorian town where two cafés are open for lunch, and then visit Jackfield Tile Museum and return to our hotel.
Day 3 A special visit to the RAF Museum at Cosford, where you can view the war planes, transport aircraft and the newest exhibition – The Cold War. We return to the hotel via Warwick.
Day 4 A scenic drive today with a visit to Ludlow, a 900-year-old Norman town perched above the picturesque River Teme. We then travel via Ledbury to Worcester where we have free time to explore.
Day 5 Departing after breakfast we make our way home via Banbury, reaching the local area late afternoon.
