NEW TOUR

Crossing the Solent, we return to the Wight Isle with Singles in mind. We take in Ventnor Botanic Gardens, Appuldurcombe House and the iconic Needles while still having time to relax, enjoy the views and all that the Island has to offer.

ITINERARY

Day 1 Following our taxi pickup we meet the coach and head towards Portsmouth for our late morning crossing to the Island. Once on the Island we travel to Shanklin and our hotel, stopping at Godshill on route. Don’t forget to check out the famous cakes (not included) found at the Old Smithy!

Day 2 The morning is free to explore Shanklin and the Old Village. Or maybe hop on the bus to the neighbouring town of Sandown. In the afternoon we rejoin the coach for a tour across the Island stopping at Alum Bay where we can view the Needles. We have time to explore or maybe watch the confectionary or glass making demonstrations, before heading back along the old Military Road towards the hotel.

Day 3 This morning we travel the short distance to Ventnor. Explore Ventnor town or stop at the Botanic Gardens, where you will find plants usually only found in the Mediterranean. In the afternoon we travel to Appuldurcombe House, once the grandest house on the Island and now part of English Heritage. We have included entry to the house and also the Isle of Wight Owl and Falconry Centre.

Day 4 Following a leisurely breakfast we leave the hotel and head towards Ryde where we have time to take in this seaside town and the Promenade before rejoining the coach and making the short journey to Fishbourne where we sail back to Portsmouth, our taxis and home.
