We return to Scarborough to wipe away your winter blues! One of Britain’s premier coastal resorts, this delightful town also lies close to North Yorkshire’s rugged National Park. Relax and enjoy the pleasures of Scarborough, as well as the natural beauty and historic heritage of Yorkshire.

ITINERARY

Day 1 After your taxi pick up, we travel north making suitable refreshment stops along the way, arriving at our hotel late afternoon. Before this evening’s dinner there will be a welcome drink giving you the opportunity to meet your fellow travellers.

Day 2 This morning we drive to Goathland (the setting for Aidensfield in the TV series Heartbeat). After a short stop here we make our way to Whitby, the famous fishing port once home of Captain James Cook, where we will have some free time to wander around the narrow streets and busy harbour side. We return across the stunning scenery of the Yorkshire Moors.

Day 3 A free day to discover the varied attractions of Scarborough. Take a short walk to the town centre and shops, or amble down to the beaches of South Bay, or the busy little harbour. Explore the town with its indoor markets and antique shops.

Day 4 This morning we travel to the ancient and historic city of York with free time to explore the many attractions on offer. You could visit the National Railway Museum, the Jorvik Centre, stroll around the city walls or visit York Minster. We return to Scarborough late afternoon.

Day 5 We depart after breakfast and travel home with suitable refreshment stops along the way. We arrive back in the local area late afternoon and meet our taxis.
