ITINERARY

Day 1 After a taxi pick up from your home we make our way toward Reading, arriving with time for lunch or to visit the Oracle Shopping Centre. We then visit the Riverside Museum at Blake’s Lock to view the displays or have tea in the nearby Bel and Dragon, before checking into our hotel. There will be a welcome drink before dinner for a chance to get to know your fellow travellers.

Day 2 We travel via Henley-on-Thames, Marlow, and Cookham, stopping for refreshments on the way. We reach Windsor for lunch and some free time before taking a leisurely cruise on the Thames.

Day 3 After a morning in the lively market town of Aylesbury, we travel to Waddesdon Manor where there is free time for lunch before your visit. This astonishing Renaissance-style château was designed in 1874 for Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild to display his outstanding collection of art treasures and to entertain the fashionable world.

Day 4 A full day out following the course of the Thames via Goring, Wallingford and Shillingford. A stop will be made in the little village of Dorchester-on-Thames, before continuing to the Pendon Museum of Miniature Landscape and Transport. We then travel toward Cricklade via Oxford, and on to the source of the Thames.

Day 5 After breakfast we make our way to the pleasant Georgian market town of Marlow, before heading south once more. We stop for refreshments in Winchester before returning to the local area and our taxis home.
