Returning to the ever popular Swindon Marriott, we have a tour which takes in some of the prettiest villages and towns in the Cotswolds. A highlight of the tour is a visit to Blenheim Palace, the magnificent home of Winston Churchill where we have access to the Palace, park and gardens.

ITINERARY

Day 1 After meeting our coach we make our way to Bath where there will be time to explore at your leisure before travelling to the hotel. There will be a welcome drink before dinner for a chance to meet your fellow guests.

Day 2 This morning we visit Malmesbury Abbey dating from the12th Century. This afternoon we take in Winchcombe and Stroud before returning to our hotel.

Day 3 Today we meander through some of the picture book villages that make up The Cotswolds. Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold and Morton-in-Marsh, to name but a few.

Day 4 A full day out first stopping in Burford, before travelling via Chipping Norton to Blenheim Palace. This unique example of English Baroque architecture was the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill and is surrounded by sweeping lawns, formal gardens and the magnificent Lake set in 2100 acres of beautiful parkland landscaped by Capability Brown.

Day 5 We have a morning in the pretty town of Cirencester where you can enjoy Market Day or you might like to visit the Corinthian Museum which tells the story of the Cotswolds from prehistory, through its Roman heyday and into the late 19th Century. Early afternoon we make our way back to the local area.
