NEW TOUR

For the third year running we are happy to offer another Irish itinerary with our single travellers in mind. Based in Bray, 40 minutes south of Dublin, we are able to visit the stunning Japanese Garden at the National Stud as well as Powerscourt House and Gardens. We venture into the wild beauty of the Wicklow Mountains and gain insight into Dublin with a guided tour.

ITINERARY

Day 1 After being picked up from your door by taxi, we travel by coach across country making the usual stops for refreshments, reaching our overnight hotel in North Wales in time for dinner.

Day 2 After breakfast we travel to Holyhead for our afternoon crossing to Dublin. It is then a short distance to our hotel in Bray where we will have a welcome drink before dinner.

Day 3 A morning guided tour through Dublin taking in the main sights of this vibrant and historic capital, including Customs House, Trinity College, Dublin Castle and Phoenix Park. After this taste of the city, the afternoon is free for your own exploration.

Day 4 Today’s excursions takes us to the Irish National Stud at Tully in Kildare. Established in 1946, the Stud is home to some of Ireland’s finest thoroughbreds and is the only stud farm in Ireland which is open to the public. We also visit the fine Japanese Gardens, planned to symbolise the ‘Life of Man’ and acclaimed as the finest gardens of their kind in Europe.

Day 5 We take a drive through the scenic beauty of the Wicklow Mountains before returning early afternoon to Powerscourt House and Gardens. Overlooking the Sugarloaf Mountain, Powerscourt is considered one of the world’s finest gardens, described as ‘a sublime blend of formal gardens, sweeping terraces, statuary and ornamental lakes with secret hollows and walled gardens’.

Day 6 Leaving our hotel early, we board the morning ferry from Dublin to Holyhead. Our drive home takes us through North Wales and into England. We return to the local area in the evening, meet our taxis and are taken home.
