Always a popular destination and a popular hotel, this Cotswolds Tour staying at the four-star Swindon Marriott is the perfect break for Easter. As well as the many beautiful Cotswold stone villages, we visit the Roman towns of Bath and Salisbury and spend time at the wonderful Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill.

ITINERARY

Day 1 After a taxi ride to meet the coach, we travel to Bath where there will be free time to explore this gorgeous Roman town before we make our way to our hotel. There will be a welcome drink before dinner for a chance to meet your fellow guests.

Day 2 This morning we visit Malmesbury Abbey dating from the 12th Century. This afternoon we take in Winchcombe and Broadway before returning to our hotel.

Day 3 Today we meander through some of the picture-book villages that make up the Cotswolds, including the wonderful yellow stone cottages of Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the- Wold.

Day 4 Another day of delightful Cotswold villages including Burford, Chipping Norton and Woodstock, before we make our way to Blenheim Palace. This unique example of English Baroque architecture was the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill and is surrounded by sweeping lawns, formal gardens and a magnificent lake, all set in 2100 acres of beautiful parkland landscaped by Capability Brown. We visit the Palace, the park and the gardens.

Day 5 Departing after breakfast, we travel south through Marlborough and on to Salisbury where we will have some free time. We continue homewards, meeting our taxis late afternoon.
