Norton Park Hotel
This splendid 4-star hotel is in the grounds of the 16th Century Manor House in 54 acres of Hampshire parkland, 7 miles from Winchester. The hotel offers comfortable surroundings in which to relax, an indoor swimming pool, sauna, aroma steam room and gym. You can also book in for treatments in the Reflections Spa. The bedrooms are equipped with Sealy beds, TV, telephone, ironing facilities, hairdryer, fridge, safe and hospitality tray. The hotel has a lift.
ITINERARY
Day 1 Picking you up by taxi from your home early afternoon, we travel to the Norton Park to arrive in time for tea in the lounge. This evening a pre-dinner drinks reception with the staff and your fellow guests is followed by dinner and musical entertainment.
Day 2 Christmas Eve; We take the short drive into Winchester today for some last minute shopping or a visit to the Cathedral. We return to the hotel for afternoon tea. This evening a drinks reception with carol singing by the Winchester Choir before a candlelit dinner in the Scene Restaurant. Should you choose to attend Midnight Mass, mulled wine and mince pies await on your return.
Day 3 Christmas Day; Happy Christmas! A relaxing morning is followed by a five course traditional gourmet luncheon in the Norton Suite. Tea and Christmas cake will be available in the lounge where we can see the Queen’s speech. A buffet dinner is followed by an evening quiz.
Day 4 Boxing Day; A half-day trip on the Watercress Line today for the ‘Christmas Leave Special’. By steam train, we experience the sights and sounds of a WWII Christmas with civilian and military re-enactors, vehicles and more. A buffet lunch is followed by tea and biscuits in the lounge. This evening a Gala Dinner Dance in the Norton Suite.
Day 5 We depart our hotel after a leisurely breakfast and make our way back to our taxis, arriving home in time for a late lunch.
