ITINERARY
Day 1 A taxi takes you from your door to your Woods coach and we make our way to Evesham Country Park for refreshments before continuing to Ludlow and our hotel.
Day 2 We travel to Ironbridge, one of the most important centres of the industrial revolution and now a delightful town of tea rooms, antique shops and, of course, the iconic bridge. We also visit Blists Hill, a fascinating recreation of a Victorian town complete with staff in authentic costume and its own bank, baker, sweetshop, school, doctor’s surgery and much more!
Day 3 We spend the day enjoying Ludlow, which has been described as one of the most beautiful historic towns in England. Walk along its medieval streets and see the magnificent ruined castle, over 500 listed buildings and visit Castle Square for the historic street market. In the afternoon we have arranged a visit to the Ludlow Food Centre for a tasting of delicious local produce.
Day 4 This morning we visit Acton Scott Working Farm, which offers a fascinating insight into rural life at the turn of the 19th century, as farm life unfolds daily and the land around is worked by heavy horses. The Old School has been transformed into a charming café. We then head for Bridgenorth where we board the Severn Valley Railway for a leisurely ride through 16 miles of beautiful countryside to Kidderminster. We return to our hotel.
Day 5 Leaving our hotel after breakfast we make our way to Burford for time to shop, eat and sightsee, before continuing homewards, reaching the local area late afternoon.
