Atlantic Hotel
Centrally located in HUGH TOWN on St Marys, the Atlantic Hotel is on the waters edge, overlooking the harbour. It is a delightful, rambling old Inn, with plenty of character. All rooms have hospitality trays, TV, telephone and central heating. There is no lift and no ground floor rooms. The restaurant overlooks the waterfront and there is a roof terrace. The hotel is a non smoking establishment.
PLEASE NOTE: Good walking shoes are essential, as there can be a lot of walking on the Island tours. Weather conditions and tide times may cause the order of excursions to change without notice. WOODS cannot be held responsible for any such changes.
WOODS are pleased to offer this departure to the Isles of Scilly without a single supplement, we also have twin and double rooms available. An area of outstanding beauty, the Isles of Scilly are referred to by many as the ‘Fortunate Isles’. Only 28 miles from the mainland coast of Cornwall, but in many ways a world away. Brushed by the Gulf Stream and washed by the Atlantic Ocean, the Islands enjoy a climate that attracts rare birds, dolphins and seals. All year round exotic plants and flowers thrive.
ITINERARY
Day 1 A morning pick up from your home by taxi to join the WOODS coach. We drive towards the west country, making a suitable stop for lunch (not included). We arrive at PENZANCE Heliport for a late afternoon flight to St MARY’S. You will be transferred to the hotel where you will receive a warm welcome. Dinner will be served tonight.
Day 2-5 During your stay a programme of included excursions has been included: ■ A guided walk around St MARY’s ■ A boat trip to TRESCO and a guided tour of the famous ABBEY GARDENS. ■ A boat trip and guided walk to another island. The choice of Island depends on the weather and tides. There may also be the opportunity to join a 2 hour coach tour on a vinatge bus to see more spectacular scenery (Fare not included).
Day 6 After breakfast we will be transferred to the heliport for the short flight to PENZANCE. A WOODS coach will return you to the local area for your onward taxi journey to your home.
