ITINERARY

Day 1 Christmas Eve: After a morning pick up, we make our way to our hotel where a light lunch will be waiting. The rest of the afternoon is free to relax, enjoy mince pies, and get to know your fellow travellers.

Day 2 Christmas Day: Happy Christmas! A leisurely day with a traditional Christmas Day lunch, followed by coffee and Christmas cake while watching the Queen’s speech. There will be games in the afternoon and then the Festive Buffet Dinner.

Day 3 Boxing Day: A short walk to the station for a half-day trip on the Watercress Line for the ‘Christmas Leave Special’. By steam train, we experience the sights and sounds of a WWII Christmas with civilian and military re-enactors, vehicles and more. After a buffet lunch at the hotel, the afternoon is at leisure. Dinner this evening is followed by entertainment.

Day 4 After breakfast we travel in two groups to Chawton to visit Jane Austen’s House, which has been preserved as it was in her lifetime and is now an interesting museum. We then depart and travel south to Brambridge Park Garden Centre, set amongst themed gardens in Eastleigh. After some time for lunch and shopping, we make our way to our taxis and home.
