Hotel Rendezvous
This family run hotel on the outskirts of the delightful market town of Skipton - gateway to the Dales, offers the best in Yorkshire hospitality. All rooms are en suite and include TV, direct dial phone and hospitality tray. The hotel has a lift.
ITINERARY
Day 1 After a local pick up we drive to Skipton via Oxford and Coventry making refreshment stops en route. We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner.
Day 2 Today sees us take a full day tour of the Yorkshire Dales National Park which takes in Settle, Ribblesdale, Hawes, Leyburn and Wharfedale. We’ll make stops en route for refreshments before returning to our hotel.
Day 3 Today we drive the short journey to Embsay to take the steam train to the award winning station at Bolton Abbey. From here we can visit the ruins of the 12th Century Priory, walk in Strid Wood or take lunch in the Cavendish Pavillion. We return to our hotel via Pateley Bridge and Grassington.
Day 4 We travel via the glorious Yorkshire countryside to Keighley to visit the Bronte Parsonage Museum to see how these remarkable authors lived and wrote. There will then be free time in Keighley for lunch, followed by a visit to Cliffe Castle and Museum, which houses pottery and archaeological displays looking at the resources in the local area.
Day 5 After breakfast, we bid farewell to our hotel and head home via Lincolnshire and the Dartford Crossing making refreshment stops en route. We arrive in our local area early evening.
