Royal York & Faulkner Hotel
A magnificent Regency building, enjoying an unrivalled position on Sidmouth’s elegant Esplanade, this family run hotel is ideally located directly overlooking the sea and adjacent to the picturesque town centre. The Royal York and Faulkner has a reputation for offering hospitality, service and comfort, as well as excellent food. All rooms offer TV, telephone, hairdryer and hospitality tray. ITINERARY
Day 1 Christmas Eve; After a morning taxi pick up, we make our way west, stopping in Bournemouth for lunch, and arriving at our hotel in the afternoon. Enjoy a glass of sherry before this evening’s Christmas Eve Dinner, which is accompanied by carol singing performed by a local church choir.
Day 2 Christmas Day; Seaton Tramway celebrates its 40th birthday in 2010, and this morning we take a journey from Colyton to Seaton through the glorious Axe Valley and two nature reserves. Then enjoy a free afternoon or join your driver on a visit to the famous Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary. This evening we celebrate Christmas Day with a traditional Christmas dinner followed by entertainment in the Faulkner Bar.
Day 3 Boxing Day; A full day tour sightseeing through Dartmoor, including Widecombe in the Moor and Princetown. There will be a candlelit Boxing Day Dinner tonight with live music for dancing in the Faulkner Lounge Bar.
Day 4 Departing after breakfast we travel along the coast stopping at Golden Acres for our lunch and shopping. We return you to your homes, via your taxis in the afternoon.
