Porthminster Hotel
This well established and imposing hotel is set amidst sub tropical gardens, perched directly above the beach, and overlooking the clear waters of St Ives Bay and the famous Godrevy Lighthouse. There is a pleasant lounge and bar, an excellent restaurant and an indoor swimming pool. The en suite rooms have TV , telephone, hairdryer and hospitality tray. Many rooms have a seaview and there is a lift.
ITINERARY
Day 1 Enjoying our door to door service, you soon join the coach, travelling towards the West Country via Exeter, making suitable stops for refreshments, arriving at our hotel late afternoon.
Day 2 A free day or alternatively, an optional visit to the Eden Project (entrance £15). We arrive mid morning and depart mid afternoon visiting Charlestown on our return to the hotel.
Day 3 We take a scenic drive along the North Cornish Coast to Lands End this morning before continuing to Penzance for free time for lunch and sightseeing.
Day 4 A free morning to explore St Ives, where you could visit the Tate Gallery. This is followed by a visit to Trengwainton Gardens from where there are splendid views across Mount’s Bay to The Lizard. After lunch, we return to our hotel mid afternoon.
Day 5 We travel via Helston and on down the Lizard Peninsula, now designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, to Lizard Point. We return via Truro for some free time to visit the shops, the cathedral or the Royal Cornwall Museum.
Day 6 We return home via Plymouth arriving in our local area early evening.
