Hellaby Hall Hotel
Set in private walled gardens, this 17th century country house hotel is steeped in history and proudly offers its guests a rarely found package of period charm and modern convenience. All tastefully decorated en suite bedrooms have TV, telephone, hairdryer and hospitality tray. Guests have full use of the leisure centre with heated swimming pool, Jacuzzi, spa and sauna. The hotel has a lift.
ITINERARY
Day 1 After our taxi pick up from home we make our way to South Yorkshire passing Oxford and Nottingham arriving at our hotel late afternoon.
Day 2 This morning we visit Chatsworth House, delightfully decorated for Christmas. Here you will have the chance to obtain lunch after viewing the wonderful decorated areas of the house, with the opportunity to visit the shop, well stocked with seasonal gifts. We then travel to Bakewell where we have time to look around the town and perhaps try a Bakewell Pudding from the Original Pudding Shop.
Day 3 We enjoy a leisurely breakfast before leaving for a scenic tour of the Peak District, visiting Castleton, Tideswell, Millers Dale and Buxton, where we will stop for lunch and some free time before we make our way back to Hellaby for our final night.
Day 4 We say farewell to our hotel and make our way back south, having a lunch stop near Cambridge and continuing our journey home via the Dartford Crossing.
