Please note: We have planned our visit at the height of the usual snowdrop season, but flower displays are always weather dependent.
After seeing such beautiful displays in 2010, we return to Rococo Gardens and Welford Park, which in January and February show off amazing borders of fragrant winter snowdrops. With our single travellers in mind, we have managed to secure many sole use rooms.
ITINERARY
Day 1 After pick up by taxi, we make our way to Welford Park in Berkshire, where a magnificent snowdrop display awaits us. Light snacks are available in the Old Laundry Tearoom, before we continue to our hotel.
Day 2 Today we travel to the historic Roman town of Cirencester where we will have free time for lunch and sightseeing. We then make our to Painswick Rococo Gardens, set in a hidden Cotswold valley with magnificent views of the surrounding countryside, and its famous displays of snowdrops.
Day 3 After breakfast, we make our way to Bath where we have a tour of this beautiful Roman city followed by free time. Designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, Bath presents some of the finest architectural sights in Europe such as the Royal Crescent, the Circus and Pulteney Bridge. There are a wealth of wonderful shops, museums as well as the famous Abbey and Roman Baths.
Day 4 Leaving our hotel after breakfast we travel through Marlborough and on to Salisbury before we make our way back to the local area, our taxis and home.
