ITINERARY

Day 1 Leaving your home by taxi, meet our coach and travel north west to Tewkesbury for lunch. We continue into Wales and arrive at our hotel in Swansea late afternoon. This evening there will be a welcome drink before dinner for a chance to meet your fellow guests.

Day 2 We travel along the Cardiff road via Pontypridd to the picturesque town of Abergavenny for free time for shopping and lunch. In the afternoon we make our way to Merthyr Tydfil to board the Brecon Mountain Railway. By steam train we enter the Brecon Beacons National Park, and travel the full length of Taf Fechan Reservoir with a stop at Pontsticill for photos and coffee.

Day 3 This morning a visit to Singleton Botanical Garden, based in the old walled garden of Singleton Park, and housing one of Wales’ premier plant collections with spectacular herbaceous borders and large glasshouses. This afternoon is free to explore Swansea.

Day 4 We drive along Swansea Bay through the picture postcard resort of Mumbles and up to Bracelet Bay on the Gower Peninsula, which is designated an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’. We stop here for coffee before making our way to the Gower Heritage Centre for our lunch stop. We then have a guided coach tour along to Rhossili with views of the nature reserve of Worm’s Head and the dramatic 250ft cliffs.

Day 5 After breakfast we travel to Cardiff for free time for shopping or sightseeing. We then continue our journey east across the Severn Bridge and back to the local area, making suitable refreshment stops along the way.
