Palace Hotel
A Touch of Class
Set in 25 acres of stunning, beautifully tended wooded grounds, the four-star Palace Hotel offers a tranquil retreat and much of the original charm and grandeur of the building has been maintained, particularly in the dining room. The ensuite rooms have TV, telephone, hairdryer, trouser press and hospitality tray. The hotel has indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts, snooker, croquet, putting, a gym and a sauna. The hotel has a lift.
ITINERARY
Day 1 We make our way to Dorchester for a break for lunch before continuing into Devon and our hotel. This evening there will be a welcome drink before dinner for a chance to meet your fellow guests.
Day 2 A free day to enjoy this wonderfully elegant resort.
Day 3 Today we have a circular cruise from Topsham to Exmouth on the River Exe. We then return via Exeter for free time to explore the town and maybe visit the cathedral. (The order of this day may be reversed depending on tides).
Day 4 A full day exploring Dartmoor including a visit to Buckfast Abbey.
Day 5 Today we travel to Paignton to join the Steam Railway for a round trip to Kingswear. The train travels seven miles along the spectacular Torbay coast to Churston, and through the wooded slopes bordering the Dart Estuary. The afternoon is free for you to enjoy Torquay.
Day 6 We leave our hotel after breakfast and return home, making suitable stops along the way. We arrive in the local area late afternoon.
