ITINERARY
Day 1 We pick you up by taxi from your door and then our coach travels west to our hotel in Devon, making suitable refreshment stops along the way. On arrival, tea and coffee will be served in the Terrace Lounge.
Day 2 A morning excursion to Torrington and the Dartington Crystal Visitor Centre. Here we can learn the history of the Crystal in the Audio Visual Theatre, watch the talented Master Engraving Demonstration, have your purchases personalised, and view the glass blowers at work. There is a pleasant café and extensive shopping including Jersey Pottery, Woods of Windsor and many more. We return to our hotel early afternoon.
Day 3 Today we visit the picturesque resort of Lynmouth, before making our way through scenic ‘Little Switzerland’, as the region is known, to the lovely village of Dunster, with its famous castle and octagonal Yarn Market.
Day 4 We travel to Barnstaple for the famous Pannier Market, which on Wednesdays has both a general and an antiques and collectables market. Situated on the High Street and first built in 1855, the market is one of Barnstaple’s most iconic buildings. There are two cafés inside for snacks. We return to our hotel early afternoon.
Day 5 Departing after breakfast, we make our way towards Winchester, arriving early afternoon in time to do some shopping and explore the Christmas Market. Continuing toward home, we arrive in the local area early evening.
