ITINERARY

Day 1 Door to door service to our coach before the journey to Dover with short sea crossing to Calais. We continue through France before arriving in the Metz area for our overnight stay.

Day 2 Continue through France, crossing the border into Germany and on via Stuttgart to Oberammergau for a 2 night stay.

Day 3 This morning travel the short distance to the Passion Play Theatre, in the village centre. The performance will start at approximately 1430 hrs and after a 3 hour break for dinner, will end at approximately 2230 hrs.

Day 4 We rejoin our coach for our journey to the Salzkammergut Lakes, one of Austria’s most beautiful regions for our 5 night stay.

Day 5 A free day to relax and enjoy the resort and its facilities.

Day 6 A full day excursion around the Salzkammergut Lakes, visiting elegant Gmunden, famous for its pottery, Emperor Franz Josef’s palace at Bad Ischl and St Wolfgang where you may wish to sample ‘Kaffe und Kuchen’ at the famous White Horse Inn.

Day 7 Whole day at leisure

Day 8 Full day excursion to Salzburg, birthplace of Mozart. Why not visit the fortress via the funicular railway, there is also the Cathedral, Hellbrunn Palace and of course the house where Mozart was born, to name but a few interesting places. We return via picturesque Mondsee with its lovely church and location for much of the ‘Sound of Music’.

Day 9 We leave Austria today to start our homeward journey, stopping overnight in southern Germany.

Day 10 Onward across the border into Belgium/France for our overnight stop.

Day 11 We continue to the French coast for our return sea crossing to Dover.
