One of Europe’s best kept secrets is the picturesque town of Vianden, found amid magnificent scenery on the banks of the River Our. The town has much to offer, but we also include a tour of the capital city, a visit to Trier and a wine tasting along the Moselle Valley.

ITINERARY

Day 1 We travel from home by taxi and by coach to Dover for the short sea crossing to Calais. We continue through France and Belgium arriving in Luxembourg and Vianden late afternoon.

Day 2 After breakfast we make our way to Luxembourg City for a morning guided tour with a free afternoon to soak up the sights and sounds, or visit the cathedral or the Grand Ducal Palace.

Day 3 Today we cross the border and visit Trier, Germany’s oldest town and a former Roman settlement. We then continue along the Moselle Valley with a visit and a tasting at one of the local vineyards.

Day 4 A half day excursion into the picturesque Mullerthal region, known as ‘Little Switzerland’, making a stop at the pretty medieval town of Echternach. The rest of the day is free to explore Vianden.

Day 5 Departing after breakfast we return through Belgium to the port of Calais for our crossing to Dover. We return to the local area and take you to your door.
