Forest Pines & Country Club
Once part of a vast country estate, the grounds in which our hotel stands are beautifully landscaped and contain a stunning 27-hole golf course. The hotel boasts ample space for relaxation and a leisure club and spa which includes pool, gym, sauna, steam room and treatment rooms. The elegant en suite rooms have satellite TV, telephone, hospitality tray and 24-hour room service. The hotel has a lift.
ITINERARY
Day 1 After a taxi pick up from your home we make our way north and stop in the limestone market town of Stamford for lunch, before continuing to our hotel north of Lincoln.
Day 2 Today we have a guided tour of the Lincolnshire Wolds travelling west with a coffee stop at Woodhall Spa, one of the prettiest villages in Lincolnshire. We return up the eastern side stopping at Somersby, birthplace of the poet Tennyson.
Day 3 A day in Lincoln begins with a guided tour by coach, followed by a guided walk around the Cathedral Quarter. The afternoon is free to explore the cathedral, castle and town.
Day 4 A visit to Gainsborough Old Hall, a medieval manor house in the centre of the town. We continue south to Belton House, to view this 17th Century country house with magnificent interiors and beautiful gardens. We return via Grantham, and up through the ‘Cliff Villages’.
Day 5 Leaving our hotel we make our way south via Boston with a stop in the university city of Cambridge for lunch before taking you to your taxis and home.
