An area of outstanding beauty, the Isles of Scilly are referred to by many as ‘The Fortunate Isles’. Only 28 miles from the mainland coast of Cornwall but in many ways a whole world away. Brushed by the Gulf Stream and washed by the Atlantic Ocean, the islands enjoy a climate that attracts rare birds, dolphins and seals. All year round exotic plants and flowers thrive.

ITINERARY

Day 1 A morning pick up from your home by taxi, to join the Woods coach. We drive towards the west country, making a suitable stop for lunch. We arrive at Penzance Heliport for an afternoon flight to St Mary’s. You will be transferred to the hotel where you will receive a warm reception. A welcome drink will be served tonight before dinner.

Day 2-4 During your stay a programme of excursions has been included: • A full day guided walking tour on St Mary’s. If you do not wish to walk all day it is possible to join this tour in the morning and return to the hotel after lunch by either foot or taxi (own expense). • A full day to the island of Tresco, by boat, with a guided walking tour of the world famous Tresco Abbey Gardens. • A walking tour of the Star Garrison with a free half day. • There may be the opportunity to join a 2 hour vintage bus excursion to see more spectacular scenery. (Fare not included approx £7).

Day 5 After breakfast we will be transferred to the heliport for the short flight to Penzance. A Woods coach will be waiting to return you to the local area for your onward taxi to your home.
