ITINERARY

Day 1 Leaving the south coast early in the morning and make our via the DARTFORD CROSSING and the GREAT NORTH WAY to our hotel in the DURHAM area for the overnight stop.

Day 2 We travel through the NORTHUMBRIAN NATIONAL PARK and enter SCOTLAND and CARTER BAR. The journey continues over the FORTH ROAD BRIDGE, through PERTH and AVIEMORE to our hotel in INVERNESS.

Day 3 Today our journey takes us to EASTER ROSS and we stop at ULLAPOOL on the shores of LOCH BROOM. This afternoon we visit DUNROBIN CASTLE where there will be ample time to explore this magnifi cent castle and its grounds. It is expected that there will be a falconry display in the afternoon before returning to INVERNESS.

Day 4 Today is a free day to explore INVERNESS.

Day 5 Travelling along the shores of the MORAY FIRTH via NAIRN and ELGIN and stop at the famous BAXTERS SOUP VISITORS CENTRE. The journey carries on via KEITH and HUNTLY. The return to the hotel will follow the road between COCKBRIDGE and TOMINTOUL and GRANTOWN ON SPEY.

Day 6 We visit AVIEMORE and explore ROTHIEMURCHUS ESTATE in the heart on the CAIRNGORM MOUNTAINS. A Ranger will board the coach and explain the workings of the Estate including the fi sheries, visitors centre and the deer farm and much more besides. In the afternoon there is the opportunity to take a ride on the CAIRNGORM MOUNTAIN FUNICULAR RAILWAY. You will enjoy remarkable views from here before returning to your hotel.

Day 7 Just a short coach ride before we catch the Jacobite cruise down LOCH NESS to URQUART CASTLE. We then travel via GLEN CONVINTH to BEAULY for lunch, after which we will visit STRATHPEFFER and DINGWALL.

Day 8 We travel the length of LOCH NESS and the CALEDONIAN CANAL to FORT WILLIAM before travelling via GLENCOE and LOCH LOMOND towards GLASGOW and then join the motorway to get to the LAKE DISTRICT area for the overnight hotel.

Day 9 We make our way south through BIRMINGHAM and OXFORD to the south coast where the faithful taxis will be waiting to return you to your doors after a thrilling HIGHLAND ADVENTURE.
