Warners Holme Lacey
Set in the idyllic Wye Valley, this magnificent Grade I listed mansion is mainly 18th Century with beautiful gardens, an orchard, wooded parklands and a fishing lake. There are abundant leisure facilities including swimming pool, sauna, steam room, gym, golf practice area, tennis, croquet, outdoor bowls green and boules. In addition, there is live nightly entertainment. Our ambassador rooms are in the new wing and are equipped with TV, telephone, hairdryer, ironing facilities, and hospitality tray. The hotel has a lift.
ITINERARY
Day 1 We pick you up from your door by taxi, and then our coach will travel across country making a stop in Cheltenham for lunch. We continue to our Warner hotel near Hereford arriving late afternoon.
Day 2 This morning we travel the short distance into the historic walled city of Hereford. Spend your time shopping or visit the magnificent cathedral, which contains the famous Mappa Mundi and the world’s largest Chained Library. The afternoon is free to enjoy our hotel.
Day 3 A day out first visiting the ‘Gateway to the Wye Valley’ – Ross-on-Wye. We continue south to take in the views from Symonds Yat and stop in Monmouth. We then continue south to visit Tintern Abbey and the Abbey Mill Tea Rooms. We return via Coleford and the Forest of Dean.
Day 4 Today we follow the ‘Black and White Villages Trail’, a journey through Herefordshire with many picturesque timber-framed shops, inns and houses in tiny villages and hamlets, including Weobley, Pembridge, Dylwin, Lyonshall, and Eardisley. We then stop in Leominster for free time before returning to our hotel.
Day 5 Departing after breakfast, we travel back to the local area making suitable refreshment stops along the way.
