Harrogate is famed as the floral town of the north, and the Autumn Flower Show is a crowning glory bringing together both horticulturalists and amateur gardeners.

ITINERARY

Day 1 After our taxi pick ups, we travel north stopping in Stamford en route. We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner.

Day 2 Today we visit Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden, a World Heritage Site and extensive estate with magnificent buildings and sweeping landscapes. We have included a guided tour. We return to Nidd Hall early afternoon.

Day 3 A day out to York. The morning is free to explore the tangle of quaint cobbled streets and the beauty of York Minster. In the afternoon we will have a 45-minute river cruise.

Day 4 A full day scenic drive through the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. We travel via Leyburn, and onto the thriving market town of Hawes. We then climb the Buttertub Pass for magnificent views over the Dales, returning via Settle and Ribblehead to Nidd Hall.

Day 5 We spend the morning in Harrogate, famous for its spa, fine Victorian and Edwardian architecture and its excellent shopping. The afternoon is free in town or at Nidd Hall.

Day 6 A full day at the Harrogate Autumn Flower Show at the Great Yorkshire Showground, where more than 90 of the country’s leading horticultural nurseries will be displaying their skills in stunning floral displays. We will find inspiring arrangements, stylish garden accessories, innovative garden tools and expert advice from specialists on hand to share their know-how.

Day 7 A free day to enjoy the facilities on offer at Nidd Hall.

Day 8 Departing after breakfast, we head home via Lincolnshire with refreshment stops en route. We arrive home early evening.
