Rosemundy HotelStars

This delightful and elegant hotel has been tastefully extended and is set in its own secluded gardens and woodland, with an outdoor heated swimming pool, and only 100 yards from the main street of the unspoilt village of St Agnes. All rooms are en suite with TV, telephone, hairdryer and hospitality tray. The hotel does not have a lift, but some ground floor rooms are available.

ITINERARY

Day 1 Morning collection from your home to join our coach for the drive west. We travel through Dorset and Devon with stops for refreshments. We arrive at our hotel in St Agnes late afternoon.

Day 2 This morning we travel to Truro for free time. You could visit the magnificent cathedral or the Royal Cornwall Museum. After lunch we visit Trewithen where we have included entrance to the fine 18th Century house and beautiful woodland gardens.

Day 3 Two wonderful gardens today beginning with Trebah, a uniquely beautiful ravine garden, with glades of sub-tropical ferns, palms, rhododendrons, magnolias and hydrangeas under a canopy of century old trees. In the afternoon we visit Trevarno Estate and Gardens, which includes a walled garden, the Great Lawn, Italian garden, Trevarno Lake and the Bluebell Wood.

Day 4 A day at leisure or an optional excursion to The Eden Project (Entrance approx. £15).

Day 5 A visit to the famous Lost Gardens of Heligan. 200 acres to explore including remarkable restored gardens, working buildings, historic glasshouses, and a sub-tropical ‘Jungle’ valley. We then take in the pretty fishing village of Mevagissey.

Day 6 A free day to relax at the hotel and explore St Agnes.

Day 7 A half day scenic drive today taking in the picturesque town of St Ives and visiting Marazion for wonderful views of St Michael’s Mount.

Day 8 Leaving our hotel after breakfast, we travel east with a stop at Okehampton before we reach the local area.
