ITINERARY

Day 1 You will be collected from your home by taxi and taken to the Woods coach for the journey to Gatwick airport and your flight to Pisa. On arrival you will be met by a local representative and transferred by coach to your hotel.

Day 2 Today with your local guide, we take the short train journey to Florence for a guided tour of the historical centre including The Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, and The Duomo. We will also visit the Boboli Gardens within the Pitti Palace complex and include admission to the Silver Museum, the Porcelain Museum and the Costumes Gallery. You will have some free time before returning to the hotel by train.

Day 3 Enjoy a free day in Montecatini Terme. You may like to visit the Giusti Grotto Spa or the 200 metre deep grotto. A funicular railway operates to Montecatini Alto which offers spectacular views of the town and countryside.

Day 4 This morning we have a guided tour to the medieval walled town of Lucca. We will visit the villa and gardens of Villa Reale di Marlia and tour other villas in the area.

Day 5 Enjoy more free time in Montecatini Terme or join an optional full day excursion to the pretty seaside villages of Cinque Terre. Travel to La Spezia and you have the choice of a boat or a train journey to the Cinque Terre.

Day 6 On the outskirts of Florence we will take a walking tour around the fascinating Villa Gamberaia Gardens, then onto a castle in Pontassieve for a light buffet lunch and wine tasting. There will then be a walking tour around the castle and a chance to visit the wine cellars.

Day 7 This morning we transfer to Pisa airport for the afternoon flight to Gatwick. You will be met by the Woods coach and returned to your home via the taxis.
