ITINERARY

Day 1 We leave the local area heading northwards to KINGS LYNN, making refreshments stops en route, we drive through Essex and the Fens arriving at our hotel mid afternoon.

Day 2 We take a drive to DOWNHAM MARKET and visit the DENVER WINDMILL for a guided tour, after which a light lunch is available in the mill tearoom and visit the craft workshops. We return to our hotel taking a drive via the villages of LITTLE DUNHAM, ROUGHAM and GREAT MASSINGHAM arriving late afternoon.

Day 3 Today we head to SANDRINGHAM, the Royal Family’s country retreat, for a browse around these wonderful gardens, museum and house, where guides are on hand to give information. Lunch here is included.

Day 4 This morning we go to the BUTTERFLY AND WILDLIFE PARK in SPALDING where we will be able to explore the bird of prey centre, animal centre and tropical house. We can have lunch here before exploring even more – the bird aviary and the ant centre! After this we return to our hotel making a stop for tea en route.

Day 5 Today we bid farewell to our hotel and drive home stopping at the GOODERSTONE WATER GARDENS, set in 6 acres with ponds, waterways, streams, 13 bridges, an 8 acre nature trail and kingfisher hide. We travel via BURY ST EDMUNDS, CHELMSFORD and DARTFORD to our local area.
