ITINERARY
Day 1 After the usual taxi pick ups, we travel via Alfriston and Beachy Head to Eastbourne to arrive early afternoon. The rest of the day is free.
Day 2 We travel to Sheffield Park Station and board the Bluebell Railway for a 1½ hour round trip through beautiful countryside while enjoying a ploughmans lunch. Our afternoon is spent in the pretty town of Tunbridge Wells.
Day 3 Today we visit Sissinghurst Castle Gardens, a remarkable garden created in the old ruins as a series of ‘outdoor rooms’. We return by coach via Rye, with its cobbled streets and beautifully preserved Tudor and Georgian houses.
Day 4 A wonderful day with a visit to Bodiam Castle followed by a return journey aboard a steam hauled train on the Kent and East Sussex Railway.
Day 5 A free day to enjoy the delights of Eastbourne.
Day 6 We depart from Eastbourne after a leisurely breakfast and make our way back to the local area, arriving home early afternoon.
