Holland blossoms and blooms year round, but it is in the Spring that you will witness the famous bulbfields unfurling like a rainbow. Set in the heart of this district, the Keukenhof Gardens offer the visitor 70 acres of colourful splendour, it is a sight that even non-gardeners will treasure for ever.

ITINERARY

Day 1 We travel to Dover for the short sea crossing to Calais and then make our way through Belgium directly to our hotel at Eemnes. Suitable stops will be made en route for meals and refreshments.

Day 2 We drive to Keukenhof Gardens, allowing adequate time to enjoy the gardens created in 1949 to show visitors the many varieties of the Dutch bulb flower industry. On leaving we will make a special stop to show you where the floats are being prepared for tomorrow’s parade.

Day 3 An early start today to see the start of the Flower Parade at Nordwijk. Then we travel to The Hague to view the Panorama Mesdag, a fantastic 19th century circular painting of the old fishing village of Scheveningen.

Day 4 Today we visit Amsterdam. A full day excursion that will give you the chance to explore what this beautiful city has to offer. Maybe visit one of the many museums or take a boat trip along the canals.

Day 5 We make our way south to the enchanting town of BRUGES, for last minute souvenir shopping. We travel across Belgium and on to the port of Calais for our afternoon sailing and home.
