The Three Tuns Hotel
Our hotel in the heart of Durham dates back to the 16th century and retains a traditional atmosphere with charm and character. The 50 en suite bedrooms are equipped with television, hairdryer, ironing facilities and hospitality tray. The hotel does not have a lift and bedrooms are on the first and second floor.
ITINERARY
Day 1 Following a taxi pick up from your door, our coach travels via the Dartford Crossing and the Great North Road to Durham and our hotel, stopping for refreshments en route.
Day 2 A full day out to Beamish, Britain’s favourite open air museum. Set in over 300 acres of beautiful countryside, it vividly recreates life in the north of England in the 1800s and early 1900s, demonstrating the recent history in a ‘living’ way.
Day 3 Today we travel to Hartlepool where you have the whole day to enjoy the spectacle of the tall ships.
Day 4 A half day tour of Durham with a walking and driven guided tour will give you ideas on how to spend your free afternoon in this fine city.
Day 5 Departing our hotel after breakfast, we travel south stopping in the beautiful conservation town of Stamford en route. We reach the local area late afternoon and transfer to our taxis.
