Ramada Bingley

Set in private grounds, this stylish country house is also a good base for visiting the Dales. Each of the 103 hotel rooms have en suite facilities, the latest flat screen LCD TV’s featuring movies on demand, along with crisp cotton linen, duvets and comfy new pillows. The hotel has a lift.

ITINERARY

Day 1 After our usual taxi pick ups our coach takes us northwards making suitable refreshments stops along the way. We arrive at the Ramada Hotel to a welcome afternoon tea whilst we check you in and take your luggage to your rooms. A superb three course dinner will be served in the hotels restaurant, enjoy the rest of the evening relaxing in the bar with your fellow travellers.

Day 2 After a traditional English breakfast head for HOLME VALLEY in PENNINE YORKSHIRE to the set of the BBC comedy, Last of the Summer Wine in Holmefirth. Visit Sid’s Café, Nora Batty’s steps and even get a glimpse of her wrinkled stockings and learn more about Compo, Clegg and Foggy at the Last of the Summer Wine Exhibition. Continue your journey to the quaint village of ESHOLT, famous for being used in the popular famous TV soap, Emmerdale. Visit the pub formerly used as the Woolpack Inn and other buildings associated with the series. Dinner will be served on your return to the Ramada Hotel followed by an evening of wine tasting.

Day 3 Start your day with a traditional full English breakfast before you set off to HERRIOT COUNTRY. Travel through the YORKSHIRE countryside stopping at the market town of THIRSK to explore the ‘World of James Harriot Visitor Centre’. Return to the hotel for dinner followed by an evening of fun at the hotels race night.

Day 4 Enjoy a hearty breakfast before your visit to BRADFORD’S famous National Media Museum, the museum promotes an understanding and appreciation of photography, film, television and radio. Then travel a few short miles to HAWORTH, the inspiration for the classic works of the Bronte Sisters including Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre. Visit the Bronte Parsonage Museum and stroll down the famous cobbled streets. After this evening’s dinner complete your holiday by testing your knowledge at the hotels Yorkshire TV, Film and literature quiz.

Day 5 Enjoy a traditional breakfast before your departure, making suitable comfort stops along the way, we arrive back in the local area early evening.
