Walton Hall - (Barcelo Premium)
A Touch of Class
Barcelo Walton Hall was originally the Mordaunt Family ancestral home, with parts dating back to the 1500s. A multi-million pound restoration of this quintessential English stately home has created a luxury country retreat. The Hall shares the leisure facilities listed above. Each premium room has TV, telephone, hairdryer, ironing facilities, hospitality tray, mini fridge, gowns and slippers and complimentary refreshments. The hotel does not have a lift and no ground floor rooms are available.
ITINERARY
Day 1 After being picked up from your door by taxi, we make our way by coach to Oxford where we stop for some free time for lunch. We continue into Warwickshire and our hotel near Stratford.
Day 2 A full day exploring Shakespeare’s Stratford, including the Bard’s birthplace, Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, Mary Arden’s House, Hall Croft and Nash’s House. Some of the tour is by coach and, for those who wish, there will also be a walking tour.
Day 3 A wonderful full day out in the Cotswolds travelling via Evesham and Broadway to the village of Toddington. Here we join the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Railway for the 10 mile ride through lovely countryside to Cheltenham Racecourse Station. We return via Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold.
Day 4 A morning visit to Warwick and the famous castle. After lunch we travel to Sutton Cheney Wharf for a 1½ hour canal cruise with a cream tea.
Day 5 Leaving our hotel after breakfast, we make our way south with a lunch stop in Chipping Norton, reaching our taxis in the late afternoon.
