NEW TOUR

Join us in this Cotswold exploration with a day in the company of a Blue Badge Guide to discover the hidden corners of the Cotswolds, with interesting titbits about the history, local customs and inhabitants of the area. As well as Broadway, Bibury and Burford, we visit lesser known gems in the rolling Cotswold Hills, and visit Oxford and Shaftesbury as well.

ITINERARY

Day 1 We pick you up from your door and take you to your waiting coach before making our way north to Oxford. We have time here for shopping and sightseeing, to wander among the 38 colleges with their gardens, halls and chapels, or walk along the river. Mid afternoon we continue to our hotel in Witney.

Day 2 A local guide joins us for today to give us inside information about the history of the area, famous residents and literary and musical connections. We start with the North Cotswolds today meandering through many picture perfect villages filled with honey-stoned buildings. We visit Stow-on-the-Wold, Broadway and Woodstock, and also a lot of the smaller villages you may not have seen before including Churchill, Adlestrop, Stanway and Stanton.

Day 3 Today we take another scenic drive, this time without a guide, visiting Cirencester for coffee. We travel through Nailsworth to Tetbury for our lunch stop, then onto Bibury and Burford before returning to our hotel.

Day 4 Leaving Witney after breakfast, we travel across country via Hungerford and past Stonehenge to Shaftesbury. This pretty town has plenty of shops, cafés and beautiful views down Gold Hill and from Park Walk. We arrive back in the local area to meet our taxis in the afternoon.
