NEW TOUR
For a few short weeks the road sides in the Vale of Evesham are ablaze with colour – the soft pink tones of cherry and apple contrasting with the white of pear and plum. We tour the black and white villages to see the best of the spring colour, visit Evesham, Snowshill Manor and take a boat trip on the River Avon.
ITINERARY
Day 1 After our usual taxi pick up, we travel to Marlborough where we have some free time for refreshments. We then continue to our hotel on the outskirts of Cheltenham.
Day 2 We travel to Evesham today where we have time to explore the pretty town and get some refreshments. In the afternoon we have included a guided tour of the Almonry Museum and Heritage Centre, a 14th Century building once home to the Almoner of Evesham Abby which now houses a unique collection of artefacts as well as exhibitions of the history of the area. We then board our Handsam Boat for a 45-minute trip along the river with views of Evesham Lock and the Hampton Ferry.
Day 3 Today we travel along the Blossom Trail, touring some of the prettiest black and white villages though the Vale of Evesham. We have with us a local guide to take us to the less visited places and give us interesting information as we enjoy our drive.
Day 4 This morning we visit Snowshill Manor, an ancient Cotwolds manor house which contains the unlikely treasures of Charles Wade, who spent his life collecting unusual objects from tiny toys to Samurai armour. We spend the afternoon in Cheltenham.
Day 5 Departing after breakfast, we make our way to Salisbury for some free time before continuing to the local area to be met by our taxis to take us home.
