This year we have organised a Spanish Christmas Holiday in SANTA SUSANNA, located in CATALONIA on the Costa MARESME.. The old town of SANTA SUSANNA is set back from the beachfront, and has narrow cobbled streets, ancient buildings and monuments. Join us for this wonderful 8 day holiday with all excursions included.

ITINERARY

Day 1 Taxi and coach LONDON GATWICK for your flight to BARCELONA operated by British Airways. On arrival a local coach will transfer you to your hotel.

Day 2 Today we have a half day excursion to the port town of BLANES. A visit to the BOTANIC GARDENS to see the tropical and sub tropical plants and trees is also included. There will be some free time to walk in the port area of BLANES or along the promenade and have some lunch (not included). We will return to the hotel early afternoon.

Day 3 Today is a free day. You may like to explore the old town of SANTA SUSANNA or stroll on the promenade. Your Tour Manager will be on hand to suggest other places to visit. A buffet lunch is included today. In the evening there will be a special Christmas Eve Dinner, wine will be included at the table.

Day 4 Once again today is free for you to enjoy the facilities at the hotel. Today all meals are included, a Lunch will be served including complimentary wine. Perhaps a walk in the afternoon, or time to relax before dinner.

Day 5 Today we leave the hotel mid morning and drive to BARCELONA for a panoramic tour. We will take a photo stop at La SAGRADA FAMILIA Cathedral, possibly the most famous building in Spain. You will have some free time in The RAMBLAS, for shopping, sightseeing or enjoying a drink at a café. Rejoining the coach we visit the mountain of MONTJUIC giving us wonderful views over the whole city. Later in the day we will view the famous fountains at PLAZA ESPANA, modernised in 1992 for the Olympic games before returning to the hotel.

Day 6 You are free to enjoy the local area or ask your Tour Manager for other places to visit.

Day 7 A full day out today, to MONTSERRAT, the name means serrated mountain. We will visit the Benedictine Monastery where we can see the BLACK MADONNA which was carved from local wood about 1000 years ago. In the afternoon we will drive through the PENEDES region, Catalonia’s famous wine area. We will make a stop at TORRES WINE BODEGA and taste the local produce.

Day 8 Sadly today is the last day of our Christmas tour and this morning we will transfer to Barcelona airport for our British Airways flight to London GATWICK. A Woods coach and then a taxi will return you to your home.
