ITINERARY

Day 1 You will be collected from your home by taxi and taken to meet the Woods coach and travel to Gatwick airport for the flight to Rome. On arrival you will be transferred by a local coach to your hotel in Spoleto, Umbria.

Day 2 After breakfast we have a day excursion to the ancient city of Assisi and also to Perugia. The city of Perugia dates back to the Etruscan and Roman period. The main square is the picturesque Piazza IV Novembre with the Fontanna Maggiore one of the most beautiful fountains dating from 1277.

Day 3 Today is a leisure day.

Day 4 We have a full day excursion and will visit Orvieto, Citte Della Pieve and Castiglione on the shores of Lake Trasimeno. At lunchtime a meal is included in an authentic Italian restaurant. We return late afternoon to the hotel. Tonight, dinner is not included and you have the opportunity to eat in the town.

Day 5 A full day excursion to Rome with a local guide.

Day 6 A free day to enjoy Spoleto. You may like to take a walk to Piazza del Mercato or the Cathedral.

Day 7 A half day excursion to Bevagna and Montefalco. Bevagna is a small walled city, it is not a hill town but flat, in the plain of the River Topino. It has many beautiful sights including mosaics, a Roman Theatre and 2 Temples. We will also visit an olive estate and have a tour and then tastings.

Day 8 Today we leave this beautiful region and will be transferred to Rome airport for our return flight to Gatwick. We will be met by the Woods coach and taken to your local area and the taxis to your home.
