We are pleased to offer this new Christmas tour to one of Europe’s best-kept secrets, the delightful town of Vianden. Possibly the most strikingly situated town in this part of Europe, its picturesque location on the banks of the river Our and its setting amid magnificent Luxembourg scenery makes this a wonderful base from which to explore.

ITINERARY

Day 1 Morning collection from your home to join our coach for the drive to FOLKESTONE for a mid-morning Eurotunnel transfer to CALAIS. We continue through FRANCE, BELGIUM and into LUXEMBOURG, arriving in VIANDEN by early evening with a welcome drink being served on arrival.

Day 2 Today’s excursion takes us into the city of LUXEMBOURG where we have an included morning guided tour. The afternoon is free to explore the Christmas Markets before we return to our hotel in time for evening meal.

Day 3 Our excursion today takes us to METZ and its Christmas Market. For the last 16 years the city of METZ has played host to a beautiful Christmas Market. Around 100 wooden stalls line the streets and squares of the city centre, filling the air with the smell of mulled wine and gingerbread. The city will be full of life with different activities and visitors can expect roasted chestnuts amongst seasonal gifts and festive music. Please note that this excursion is subject to confirmation of the Markets opening dates.

Day 4 A free morning for you to relax and open your presents before enjoying a traditional Christmas turkey lunch. We have time this afternoon to explore the pretty town of VIANDEN before this evening’s special Christmas dinner, which is followed by live entertainment.

Day 5 Departing our hotel after a leisurely breakfast, we head to TRIER, the oldest city in GERMANY, rich in ancient Roman history and monuments. After lunch, we take a short scenic drive along the MOSEL VALLEY before returning to our hotel mid-afternoon.

Day 6 We depart VIANDEN after breakfast and return to CALAIS for an early evening Eurotunnel transfer to FOLKESTONE, and on to the local area by mid-evening where our door-to-door service will be waiting to return you to your home.
