On this wonderful tour we visit a wealth of beautiful gardens including, of course, the great estate of Tatton Park. This rich county abounds in magnificent experiences for the ardent horticulturalist and the keen gardener alike, and all six of the gardens we visit are listed as Cheshire’s ‘Gardens of Distinction’.

ITINERARY

Day 1 Departing the local area we travel across country to Cheltenham where we stop for free time to window shop and have lunch. We continue to our hotel just over the Welsh border arriving in time for dinner.

Day 2 We begin our day at Dunham Massey with its fine collections of furniture, paintings and silver and dating back to 1732. This afternoon we visit Arley Hall, an impressive example of a Victorian country house built in Elizabethan style. The gardens are a result of over 250 years of loving care and are rich in variety and historical interest.

Day 3 Travelling to the Wirral Peninsula, we visit the beautiful Ness Botanic Gardens before making our way to Chester Zoo Gardens. There are over 110 acres of award winning landscape and 10 feature gardens to enjoy. If you wish to enjoy just one of these, your driver will return to the hotel at lunchtime.

Day 4 Another wonderful day with Cholmondeley Castle Gardens as our first stop. Occupying a romantic setting with stunning views, the gardens include lakeside and woodland walks. Our final visit is to the glorious Tatton Park, an estate set in over 1000 acres of Cheshire Parkland with classical mansion and over 50 acres of garden.

Day 5 Leaving our hotel after breakfast, we make our way home with suitable stops for refreshments along the way. Arriving back in the local area, we are met by our taxis and transferred home.
