ITINERARY
Day 1 After a taxi pick up we make our way across country toward Wales with suitable refreshment stops along the way. At the hotel we will be greeted with a glass of mulled wine.
Day 2 A full day tour taking in Caernarfon, Thomas Telford’s Menai Suspension Bridge and the historic town of Beaumaris on the Isle of Anglesey. The mixture of Medieval, Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian architecture are enhanced by breathtaking views of the Menai Strait and the mountains of Snowdonia. There will be festive entertainment after dinner.
Day 3 Today we travel to Porthmadog and then on to the famous Italianate village of Portmeirion. Designed by architect Sir Clough Williams-Ellis, and the setting for the TV show ‘The Prisoner’, Portmeirion stands on a rugged clifftop on its own private peninsula overlooking Cardigan Bay. We return to Beddgelert for tea and mince pies and in the evening, a Christmas Quiz.
Day 4 A full day scenic drive exploring the wild beauty of the Snowdonia National Park, first travelling to Bala, then Llangollen and crossing the Horseshoe Pass before making our way to Betws-y-Coed. This evening’s dinner is followed by entertainment.
Day 5 We depart our hotel after breakfast and make our way back to the local area, our taxis and home.
