This year we return to the popular West Country to follow in the footsteps of the Romans in Bath and visit the seaside town of Weston-Super-Mare. With a wonderful river cruise and a comfortable hotel, this is a delightful break.

ITINERARY

Day 1 After local pick ups we travel via the NEW FOREST to our hotel in CLEVEDON having made a stop en route at the RINGWOOD TOWN & COUNTRY EXPERIENCE for coffee. We stop in WELLS for lunch and sightseeing and then onwards to our hotel.

Day 2 This morning we take a short drive to the ROMAN BATHS in BATH where time will be spent exploring one of the finest thermal baths in the western world. We will spend approximately 2 hours here, after which we will have the rest of the afternoon to explore Bath before returning to our hotel.

Day 3 We drive to WAPPING WHARF, BRISTOL for a cruise along the RIVER AVON with views of the Clifton Suspension Bridge. We stop en route for a light lunch after which we continue our cruise before returning to our hotel.

Day 4 Today we explore the area and drive southwards for some time in WESTON-SUPER-MARE, where the wide sweep of Weston Bay has miles of clean sandy beach. We return to our hotel mid afternoon in time for our farewell dinner.

Day 5 We bid farewell to our hotel and head home via the CHEDDAR GORGE where we will be able to see how the cheese is made. During the afternoon we continue our journey via FROME, SALISBURY and WINCHESTER arriving in our local area early evening.
