ITINERARY

Day 1 Early morning collection from your home to join our coach for travel to Folkestone and short Eurotunnel crossing to France. We continue through Belgium to the 3-star Best Western Hotel, Alzey in Germany’s Rhineland with evening meal on arrival.

Day 2 We continue our journey through Germany and into Austria, arriving at our hotel in Filzmoos by late afternoon.

Day 3 A full day excursion to Salzburg, a beautiful city immortalized in the film ‘The Sound of Music’ and birthplace of Mozart. We have an included walking tour of the city followed by time to soak up the atmosphere of the Christmas Market, which is held in Cathedral and Residenz Square.

Day 4 Christmas Eve; This morning we head to the winter ski resort of Zell am See. We enjoy an included horse and carriage ride before free time to explore this pretty and bustling town and possibly take a cable car ride up to the summit of the Schmittenhohe Mountain (fare not included). We return to Filzmoos mid-afternoon.

Day 5 Christmas Day; Happy Christmas! A free morning to relax, open presents and breathe the fresh mountain air before sitting down to a traditional Christmas Day turkey lunch. This evening, dinner is followed by live music.

Day 6 Boxing Day; A full day excursion as we head into Carinthia, driving through the Tauern Tunnel to Villach, renowned for its historical interest and cosmopolitan atmosphere. We return to our hotel via the small historic town of Spittal an der Drau.

Day 7 We leave our hosts in Filzmoos and return to our overnight hotel in Germany’s Rhineland with evening meal on arrival.

Day 8 We continue our journey to Calais for a Eurotunnel crossing to Folkestone, returning to the local area where our Door to Door service will be waiting to return you home.
