The Austrians are renowned for their hospitality and this hotel has been selected for the warmth of welcome they extend to their guests. Included in the holiday is a welcome drink, guided village walk, live local music one night, schnapps tasting and a one hour sleigh ride in Gosau. It is Happy Hour every night from 5pm to 7pm with 50% off selected drinks. There is also a regional dinner one night and a Farewell Gala Dinner.

ITINERARY

Day 1 After an early collection from home by taxi, we join our coach and make our way to Dover for the short channel crossing to Calais. We then travel through France and into Germany to our overnight hotel near Cologne.

Day 2 We continue through Germany and on to our hotel in Austria a short distance from the shores of Lake Traunsee where we are met with a welcome drink.

Day 3 A free day to enjoy Traunsee. There is also a guided walk of the village and a schnapps tasting.

Day 4 We travel along the banks of Lake Traunsee to Hallstatt, probably the most beautiful village in Austria. We then visit Gosau for a one-hour sleigh ride.

Day 5 We spend the day in the enchanting city of Salzburg. Picturesquely set on the banks of the Salzach River at the foot of Monchburg Mountaine.

Day 6 Departing after breakfast we travel north to the area of Cologne and our overnight hotel.

Day 7 We continue our journey to Calais for the short Channel crossing to Dover. From here we make our way back to the local area, our taxis and home.
