This high standard 3-star hotel is located in the centre of Mechelen, close to the Market Square. All modern and comfortable bedrooms are en suite and feature TV, hairdryer, mini-bar and tea/coffee making facilities. Amenities include a bar, restaurant brasserie, gym, Turkish bath and a lift. A glass of wine/beer/soft drink is included with dinner each evening along with tea/coffee.
ITINERARY
Day 1 Morning departure from home for travel to Dover for a short sea ferry crossing to Calais. We continue our journey through Belgium and on to Mechelen by early evening.
Day 2 Morning at leisure in Mechelen, with its Saturday market, pretty sights and pavement cafés. This afternoon we visit Brussels which plays host to no fewer than 220 wooden chalets around the Beurs, the St. Katelijneplein and Vismarkt. An array of Christmas goods, craft products and delicatessen will be on offer. A giant wheel will give fantastic views of the city and the traditional Christmas tree and decorations.
Day 3 Today we visit Antwerp Christmas Market. Set in the main square in front of the railway station it is beautifully lit with Christmas lights along with a giant Christmas tree and an ice skating rink. The surrounding streets are filled with numerous stalls selling festive gifts.
Day 4 Departing after breakfast we travel to Lille. The Place Rihour is the setting for a traditional Christmas Market with festive lights, decorative stalls and warming foods. We then join the late afternoon short crossing from Calais to Dover. We continue our journey to local area by mid-evening where our Door to Door service will be waiting to take you home.
